Calling the kettle...
A left-leaning organization has set up camp in Crawford, Texas and, no, Cindy Sheehan has nothing to do with it.
Empty boxes are being sent to President Bush so that he might place documents from Judge John Roberts’ tenure at the Solicitor General’s office in them. It is a symbolic stunt and makes for good television.
But as I watched this bit on Fox News – yes, even the “conservative” news network is giving it air time – I couldn’t help but to be amused by the hypocrisy of the group’s spokesman. “It’s as though he was applying for a job and refused to hand over his college transcript,” the gentleman said (or something close thereto – I am struggling to find a transcript).
The interesting thing, though, is that not too long ago, John Kerry was applying for a job – a rather important one by most estimations – and yet he didn’t hand over his college transcript. In fact, it wasn’t until after the election that the humorous tidbit about his Yale GPA being lower than that of President Bush slipped out.
The irony is astounding.
